Foster Township

Foster Township (Clear Lake Area) is a popular year-round recreational area located in beautiful Ogemaw County in the State of Michigan. While it is very small with a population of 843, it's also very popular. People come here to enjoy the beautiful lakes and the many off-road trails. Foster Township was once a hidden secret, but over time more and more people come to visit.

Transfer Station Hours

  • Saturday 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

  • Sunday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

  • **Wednesday 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm  (ONLY) between Memorial Day and Labor Day

RECYCLING
City of West Branch

Recycling services has been contracted with GFL, which has new recycling canisters which will allow for drop offs at any time.  The Canisters allows for the mixing of materials, which will allow for people to drop off their recycling whenever is most convenient to them.  The Recycling Center will be staffed on Tuesdays from 12 - 4 pm and on Saturday 9 am - 12 pm for those that need assistance unloading stuff.  The canister will be dumped weekly.  Electronic recycling can be done on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

If new to the area, recycling center is located behind Save - A - Lot and before West Branch Greenhouse in the alley.  New users stop by City Hall to sign up and get a card.

March 1st, 2024 any unpaid taxes will be turned over to the Ogemaw County Treasurer.  Contact the Ogemaw County Treasurer on March 1st for payment information (989) 345-0084.
