Foster Township

Foster Township (Clear Lake Area) is a popular year-round recreational area located in beautiful Ogemaw County in the State of Michigan. While it is very small with a population of 843, it's also very popular. People come here to enjoy the beautiful lakes and the many off-road trails. Foster Township was once a hidden secret, but over time more and more people come to visit.

Foster Township is accepting sealed bids for snow removal services for the 2025–2026 winter season. Services will include snow plowing and salting of township properties, including but not limited to: Foster Township Hall, Transfer Station, Damon Cemetery, Clear Lake Fire Hall, Horseshoe Lake Boat Launch, Hydrants and Dry Hydrants. Bids must be sealed and received by October 14, 2025 at the following address:

RECYCLING
City of West Branch

Recycling services has been contracted with GFL, which has new recycling canisters which will allow for drop offs at any time. The Canisters allows for the mixing of materials, which will allow for people to drop off their recycling whenever is most convenient to them. The Recycling Center will be staffed on Tuesdays from 12 - 4 pm and on Saturday 9 am - 12 pm for those that need assistance unloading stuff. The canister will be dumped weekly. Electronic recycling can be done on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

If new to the area, recycling center is located behind West Branch Greenhouse in the alley. New users stop by City Hall to sign up and get a card.
